The Sentinel tank, while effective and competent as a unit-hunter, ambush unit and suppressive support platform, performs optimally when in groups so each unit can. It is bittersweet, but we were happy to conduct this last mission with one of our partner nations. This allows the Sentinel tank to focus on larger and/or tougher High-value targets while not having to dedicate extra care to the enemy lesser units acting as a support force. ![]() Townsend reflected on the ship’s rich history noting, “It was an honor for this to be USCGC WRANGELL'S final patrol.
